For and in consideration of the sum of two hundred & fifty dollars
received of the J. & E. Stevens Co. Cromwell Conn. I hereby agree to
sell & assign all my right title & interest in a certain new toy
money bank composed of two side pieces with a figure of a clown
holding a hoop at one end and at the other end the character of an
old woman with a swinging tongue said figures all cast and forming
part of the side pieces also a comical character of a frog on
bicycle which is made to revolve and in making the revolution the
coin is thrown into the bank there is also a reproduction of a book
hung between the side walls of the bank so that when the frog makes
the revolution he raises the book which salutes the old woman on the
tongue and sets it in motion sample of said bank was left with J. &
E. Stevens Co. April 8th 1886. I also agree to sign and execute all
papers at any time the above named firm wish to apply for a patent
on said bank.
